Who we are?

* Proyecto Miradas (Glances Project)

The project will be implemented by Sofia Mendez and Daniel Ekdesman, with a long experience with Proyecto Miradas (PM) to bring astronomy to schools with limited financial resources in all Latin American countries for 5 years.

PM has worked with over 10,000 children vulnerable populations and is officially supported by the Ministry of Education of Argentina and other countries, and the National University of Rosario, among many other endorsements.

In 2012 a television chain England made an audiovisual documentary on PM in Mexico, after winning an international competition (video).

In 2014 PM worked with UNESCO and UNAWE by schools throughout Central America after winning a contest and the International Astronomical Union (IAU) (centroamerican project).

PM is currently in Rosario (Argentina) performing astronomy workshops in different suburbs and surrounding towns. It is also close to publish a book about the experience in America and a documentary series for TV about working with UNAWE-UNESCO.
